Bach 42BOF Centennial tenor trombone from 2018 is Bach's 100-years jubilee model. For 42BOF Centennial Bach has designed a brand new rotor valve, they call it for ”open-flow” valve.

The 2018 Bach 42BOF Centennial tenor trombone is Bach's 100th anniversary model. For the 42BOF Centennial, Bach has designed a brand new valve, which they call “open-flow” valve. Jay Friedman of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra has been invovled in developing the model.
The Bach 42BOF has the popular 42 bell in yellow brass, the Centennial model also has extra engravings.
The new Open-flow valve, developed in Europe in collaboration with German Meinlschmidt, makes it easy to play in the low register without compromising with the flexibility in the high register.
