The Bach 42A tenor trombone with the Hagmann Free Flow valve, which allows the airflow to move freely through the instrument. The Infinity valve is designed to minimize wear and it offers a quick response and great mobility. The light weight of the Hagmann valve affects the feel of playing on the instrument. Some players feel that the lighter weight of the valve invites you to play with a more focused and bigger sound.
The bell on the Bach 42A is hand hammered and one-piece in yellow brass with a diameter of 8½ ”. This provides a broad and warm sound suitable for symphonic music.
The .547” large bore in combination with the Infinity valve and open wrap F gives a warm sound, good projection and great open sound.
