The Reference 54 tenor is named after the year when the Mark VI production began. Selmer developed the Reference 54 series because of the large demand for saxophones with the same sound qualities as the 50's Selmer horns. 

The Reference line has all the mechanical advantages of a modern horn, while still preserving the sound qualities known from the vintage Selmers. It's a horn with a strong and focused sound and a very rich timbre. 

The price does not include a case or mouthpiece. We are happy to advise you in choosing the right case and mouthpiece for your new instrument.

Before the saxophone is delivered to you, it is examined in our workshop and adjusted according to your wishes. This way we are certain that the saxophones we deliver play their best, which is often significantly better than their factory set-up.
