Thomas Stanesby senior lived in London from 1668 - 1734 and Moeck's Stanesby recorder is based upon his flutes. The original, which Moeck has copied, is from Frans Brügen's collection in Amsterdam. The Stanesby alto flute has a warm and charming sound and works very well as a solo instrument with its beautiful sound and good response. The model is made in boxwood natural or stained.
