Arban Method for Trombone and Baritone
Arban Method for Trombone and Baritone is based on Arban's trumpet method from 1864. In 1936, two of the most prominent trombone of the time (Charles L. Randall and Simone Mantia) decided to revise the trumpet method and this is how Arban's Method for Trombone and Baritone came about.
This latest and most recent version from 2008 has been revised by Alan Raph and contains techniques and exercises that have been developed in recent years.
- Extended section with scales and arpeggios
- A new section with slide trills, contemporary forms of double and triple tonguing
- The section on alternative positions has been updated and expanded
- MP3 files with accompaniment for 12 Fantasies & Air Varies can be downloaded from Carl Fischer's website, where other supplementary material for the book can also be downloaded.
