D'Addario Reserve Bb clarinet mouthpiece
The Reserve mouthpiece is inspired by the most popular vintage mouthpieces from the 1920's. They are made of ebonite (hard rubber), that is milled instead of molded to achieve the highest level of precision and uniformity in the mouthpieces.
We've compared the Reserve mouthpieces to Vandoren's and found out which roughly compares to each other:
- Reserve X0 compares to the M13 with a 1,00mm tip opening and a medium facing. American pitch (A = 441hz)
- Reserve X10 compares to the 5RV Lyre with a 1,10mm tip opening and a medium facing. American pitch (A=441hz)
- Reserve X10E compares to the M30 with a 1,11mm tip opening and a long facing. The E in the model number (we assume) stands for Europe, since the mouthpiece has standard European pitch (A=442hz)
- Reserve X15E compares to the B40 with a 1,8mm and a medium-short facing. European pitch (A=442hz)
